Colyer Veterinary Service is a contemporary small
animal hospital and mobile clinic serving the
Paradise and Magalia communities. As the service
was started by Dr. Colyer more than 20 years ago
as a mobile only service, he still likes to meet his
clients for the first time in our mobile unit.
Therefore, Dr. Art's new clients are always
scheduled for house calls for the first visit. There
are many advantages to the mobile visit. First, the
client receives more one-on-one time with the
doctor. Also, the doctor can see several animals in
one trip. For animals that have difficulty riding in the
car due to size, illness, or anxiety, a house call is
ideal. Finally, many of our clients also find it more
convenient for us to come to the home rather than
driving to the office with a pet. Our mobile unit is
comprised of a full service exam room, laboratory,
and pharmacy.
Currently Dr. Colyer makes house call appointments
on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons between
the hours of 2pm and 5pm, and sees patients at our
recently remodeled hospital Wed.-Sat.
Dr. Lisa Kleiman sees new or existing clients at our
hospital Monday-Thursday. Hospital services
include: examinations, laboratory testing,
radiography, dentistry, behavior counseling, and
surgery. We have a full pharmacy and carry
therapeutic Hills and Royal Canin feline and canine
diets.
Surgical and dental appointments are scheduled for
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. We
also have technicians available each day for routine
vaccinations, nail clipping, and various laboratory
tests. Please call our office for an appointment.
Services
We are pleased to announce the addition of digital radiography to
our practice. This state of the art quality is similar to that being
utilized in the human medical field. Digital allows much higher
quality images in addition to the ability to consult with a board
certified radiologist and have results within 2 hours or as soon as
20 minutes.
